Crystal has spent her career showing up for Kidventure children and families. On August 15, this community showed up for her.
A thank you from all of us
We cannot begin to tell you how thankful we are for your generosity and your support for our Community for a Cause event. Over 200 people came together to support Crystal Johnson, play bingo, donate funds, and help her fight against cancer.
Raising funds for Crystal and her medical bills was one of the evening's big goals, but the support she and her family felt because of your presence was priceless. Thank you.

Who Crystal is
Crystal Johnson has served as a Director across After School and Summer Camp programs at St. Rose of Lima School. In that role she has led staff, supported hundreds of families, and brought joy and care to thousands of children.
Crystal has been diagnosed with two types of cancer. She will need surgeries as well as treatment to fight this disease. This diagnosis will not only cause her to miss work, she does not have the health insurance and financial means to get the care she needs. She still needs our help.
Community for a Cause exists for exactly this. When someone in our community is carrying something heavy, we gather and we help carry it.
What the evening looked like
An evening together at St. Rose of Lima School, with a silent auction of donated items and time to gather as a community.

We shared a meal with friends, family, and neighbors.
