About

About Ollie's Kids

Ollie's Kids is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization creating camps, programs, and practical support for children and families experiencing homelessness.

Our mission

Programs designed around what children actually need

A family in unstable housing is asked to make decisions most families never face. Where to sleep. Which bills to pay. What to leave behind. Children carry the weight of those decisions even when adults work hard to shield them from it.

Our mission is to make sure childhood keeps happening in the middle of that. We build programs where a child can put down the responsibility they have been carrying, try something new, be encouraged by an adult who knows their name, and leave with something practical in hand.

That means two things running side by side. Meaningful experiences, delivered with the structure and safety of a professionally run camp. And essential resources, from shoes and school supplies to bedding and toiletries, provided in a way that respects the dignity and choices of the family receiving them.

We measure our work by whether a child felt known, capable, and glad to be there, and whether a family left with a little more than they arrived with.

Our relationship with Kidventure

How we are connected to Kidventure

Ollie's Kids is the nonprofit connected to Kidventure. We apply more than 32 years of camp and after-school experience to children and families experiencing homelessness.

Kidventure is a separate for-profit company. It is not the same legal entity as Ollie's Kids, and a donation to Ollie's Kids is not a payment to Kidventure. What Kidventure contributes is practical: trained staff, program design, camp operations experience, and a standard of care built over three decades.
